A black rose cast glass pendant, Rose diameter 4-4.5cm. Supplied with a generous length of 1.5cm wide black velvet ribbon which can be knotted or tied in a bow. The rose is made using the the lost wax method of glassmaking a technique used by Lalique to make his early pieces. This involves making the model of the rose in wax, a mould is then made over the wax model and the wax is melted out of the mould. The cavity is now filled with glass and the mould is then placed in the kiln and taken to a casting temperature. On removal from the kiln the mould is carefully chipped away to reveal the glass flower. Each piece is unique and we usually make these pieces to order therefore delivery times may vary, usually between 2 and 4 weeks.
